In Himachal Pradesh, monsoon fury continued to disrupt normal life. Since June 20, the active southwest monsoon has caused heavy rainfall, triggering landslides and cloudbursts. The Meteorological Department has issued Orange and Yellow alerts for heavy rainfall in the state until July 10. 
 
Akashvani correspondent reports that the spell of monsoon rainfall continues in Himachal Pradesh. During the past 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 110 millimetres was recorded in Aghar of Hamirpur district, while Nagrota Surian in Kangra district received 100 millimetres of rainfall. According to the State Emergency Operation Centre, due to heavy rain, cloudbursts, and landslides, 243 roads are still blocked for vehicular traffic, while 241 electricity transformers and 278 drinking water schemes remain non-functional. So far, 163 houses have been completely damaged and 178 partially damaged across the state. The Meteorological Centre in Shimla has issued an Orange alert for heavy rainfall today for Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, Solan, and Sirmaur districts, and a Yellow alert for Chamba and Kullu districts. Given the forecast for heavy rainfall, people are advised to remain alert and cautious.
