In Uttarakhand, Clear weather prevailed over most parts of Uttarakhand today, allowing authorities to expedite the restoration of roads blocked due to recent rainfall and landslides. In Uttarkashi, work is underway on a war footing to repair the damaged Yamunotri National Highway near Silai Band. Officials are hopeful that the route will be reopened for regular traffic soon. District Magistrate Prashant Arya stated that the pilgrimage to Yamunotri Dham remains unaffected. Pilgrims returning from the shrine are being transported via transhipment up to Ojri, from where they walk approximately 400 meters to reach Silai Band. From there, they are again ferried to their destinations through a transhipment system.
On the other hand, the yatra to Badrinath, Kedarnath, and Gangotri Dhams is continuing without disruption. Meanwhile, the Met Department has forecast light to moderate rainfall in some parts of the state in the coming days.
