The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced to give away ‘National Media Award’ for best campaign on voters’ education and awareness during the year 2022.
Anyone involved in the journalistic activities regarding the voters’ education and awareness is eligible for applying for the award.
According to a press release issued by the government there will be four awards, one each for Print, Electronic, Radio and Online (social media). The award will be in the form of a citation, plaque and cash prize and will be presented on the next National Voters’ Day on January 25, 2023. Media houses having special contribution to the said field may submit their entries to the ECI directly latest by November 30, 2022.
In case of print media, the application should be accompanied with a summary of the carried out work during the relevant period for which a PDF soft copy or a link to the article/ news or a full size photocopy of the same. For broadcast media the concerned material should be in a CD/DVD or pen drive. Online media will have to submit a PDF soft copy of the post/blog/tweet/campaign/ article etc. or a link to the relevant web address.
Entries submitted in languages other than English/ Hindi will have to enclose a translated version of the same in English.
