IMD issues thunderstorm alert for 17 Telangana districts –

The India Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm alert in 17 districts across Telangana for today. According to IMD, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur in isolated areas in several districts. It also cautioned that strong surface winds are very likely to prevail at isolated places across all 33 districts of the State. In Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, the forecast for the next 24 hours indicates cloudy skies, with the possibility of light rain or thundershowers accompanied by strong surface winds. The thunderstorm alert has been issued to Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri and Kamareddy.
