Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Takes Action Against Officials Over Poor Train Facility for BSF Troops –

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw took stern action against officials for providing unsuitable and old trains to BSF Personnel going on Duty to Kashmir from Tripura. Four officials from the Alipurduar Division have been suspended with immediate effect.
 
The suspended officers include three Senior Section Engineers and the Coaching Depot Officer of Alipurduar Division of Northeast Frontier Railway zone. Mr Vaishnaw said that the dignity and comfort of security forces are of the utmost priority and that such negligence will not be tolerated at any level. A special train from Agartala is now being arranged exclusively for BSF personnel, with full attention to their convenience and honour. The Ministry of Railways has also ordered a detailed inquiry into the entire incident.
