CPM secretary Jitendra Choudhury lambasted BJP president JP Nadda for his claim that there was no political violence in the state.

Ironically, Choudhury pointed out, when the BJP president claimed there was zero political violence, his own partymen were being subjected to political violence while they were going to his rally only.

“Of course, we do not support such violence but fact is there are violence”, he said.

Choudhury alleged that during the last four and half years of BJP rule fascist attacks were being committed against the opposition parties in this state. The CPM secretary also did not forget to mention the recent spurt of theft and dacoities in the state to counter Nadda’s claim and drive his point that the law and order situation had worsened in the state .

In reference to Nadda’s statement that the Union government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi was keen for development of the indigenous people Choudhury observed that like Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman,  the BJP president also claimed of the sanction of Rs. 1300 crore for the uplift of the indigenous.

“But where is the money, where is development to the TTAADC.”, he questioned.

Choudhury also countered Nadda’s claim that poll promises made in the 2018 vision document were met.

“This claim is wholly wrong”, he said and then added that the people of this state and especially the people of ADC could see to it and that is why the rally witnessed a very low-key participation in TTAADC headquarters at Khumulwng.
