In Bihar, so far over 3 lakh and 83 thousand farmers have been contacted and given advice by a team of experts under the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan. ICAR Agricultural Technology Application Institute (ATARI) Bihar-Jharkhand, Director Dr. Anjani Kumar told Akashvani News that 103 teams have been formed to sensitize farmers about agriculture techniques, innovations and knowledge about agro schemes.
 
He informed that in Bihar, 43 Krishi Vigyan Kendra ( KVKs) have been roped in to make farmers awar,e and more than 37,000 camps have been held under the campaign. Director of ICAR – ER ( ICAR- Research Complex for Eastern Region ) Dr. Anup Das said several benefits of schemes are being provided under the scheme at the door steps of farmers. The Vikshit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan campaign was started by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on 29th last month from Odisha. The campaign will culminate on 12th of this month.
