The Prime Minister lauded the success of the Aspirational Districts Programme, which has brought about notable improvements in healthcare, social development, and infrastructure across various regions. He said that the true measure of good governance lies in how effectively government schemes reach the grassroots and positively impact lives.
In a rapidly evolving global landscape, PM Modi urged the bureaucracy to remain vigilant and proactive in addressing major global challenges, especially those affecting the Global South. He pointed out that food, water, and energy security continue to pose serious concerns and require urgent and coordinated attention.
On the occasion, PM Modi presented the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration, recognizing outstanding contributions in the categories of Holistic Development of Districts, Aspirational Blocks Programme, and Innovation. These awards celebrated the innovative spirit and dedicated service of civil servants who are driving meaningful change across the nation.
Additionally, two eBooks were released during the event to commemorate the day and showcase exemplary administrative practices.
