Forward Bloc State unit secretary Shyamal Roy ( 65) passed away on Tuesday night. He suffered a massive brain stroke and could recover. A bachelor Roy was a Chemical Engineer by professin but he did not pursue any profession but continued with political activities since student days. As an amiable person Roy was loved and respected by all.
A pall of gloom descended in the city soon after the news of his demise spread via social media.
Senior political leaders from Left Front visited Roy in hospital.
