Priyanka Gandhi positive for Covid-19

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Friday said she has tested positive for Covid-19.

Taking to Twitter, Priyanka said, “I have tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms. “

She has quarantined herself at home.

The Congress leader also requested those who came in contact with her to take all necessary precautions.

On Thursday,

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has tested Covid-19 positive, Congress Chief Spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said Thursday, adding that she would be appearing for the ED summon.

Surjewala said Sonia Gandhi had been meeting leaders and activists over the last week, some of whom were found to be Covid positive.

“Congress President had developed mild fever and Covid symptoms last evening. On testing, she has been found to be Covid positive,” Surjewala said.

“Congress President will appear before ED on 8th June, as informed by us earlier,” he said.

“We, at Indian National Congress, shall keep you posted about any future developments.”

The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party leader Rahul Gandhi in connection with the National Herald case.

Sonia Gandhi has been asked to appear before the ED on June 8. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished a speedy recovery of Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, who has contracted Covid-19.

Modi tweeted, “Wishing Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi Ji a speedy recovery from COVID-19.”
