In a major announcement that has sparked excitement across Tripura, Minister for SC Welfare, ARDD, and Fisheries Department, Sudhangshu Das, who is also the sitting MLA of Fatikroy, revealed that renowned Bollywood playback singer Kunal Ganjawala will perform live at Milan Mela 2025. Kunal’s viisit and performance will be second of the two national music stars’ performance in the state- after Shreya Ghosal Night that raged Agartala recently. The event is likey to be spectacular event.
Speaking to the media after a preparatory meeting on Saturday, Minister Das outlined plans to make the upcoming Milan Mela, scheduled from January 29 to February 1, 2025, a grander and more vibrant affair. The four-day cultural extravaganza will take place at the Fatikroy Higher Secondary School Grounds, featuring local talent alongside renowned artists from outside the state.
Objective of Milan Mela
Highlighting the purpose of the event, Minister Das said, “The Milan Mela, launched in 2018, aims to divert youth away from drugs and addiction by providing a creative platform for artists to showcase their talents. Beyond entertainment, the event promotes peace, harmony, and brotherhood among people from all walks of life.”
Event Highlights
The Milan Mela will feature cultural performances by local artists, including children, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by performances by popular artists from across the country from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

- January 29, 2025 (Opening Day): Artist yet to be confirmed.
- January 30, 2025 (Day 2): Performance by renowned Kolkata-based singer Iman Chakraborty, known for her soulful renditions.
- January 31, 2025 (Day 3): Kolkata’s famous band Fakira will electrify the stage with their dynamic performance.
- February 1, 2025 (Final Day): Bollywood playback legend Kunal Ganjawala will headline the event, marking a grand conclusion to the festival.
