The state government has unveiled a significant recruitment drive, announcing the creation and filling of 6067 Special Executive posts, along with 498 additional posts across various departments, as revealed by Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Tuesday.

As per the Cabinet’s decision, the honorarium for Special Executives has been raised to ₹13,000 per month from the earlier ₹11,000. The recruitment will address long-standing demands and strengthen the workforce in critical sectors.

Of the 498 new posts, 241 will be Lower Division Clerk (LDC) positions, while 161 technical posts will bolster the Health Department. These roles include Physiotherapists (8), Audiometry Technicians (31), Dental Technicians (4), Radiographers (29), and other specialized positions such as Psychiatric Social Workers (2) and Ophthalmic Assistants (19).

The Industries and Commerce Department will see the creation of 96 technical posts, including Extension Officers (6), Field Assistants (38), Senior Instructors in Engineering (25) and Non-Engineering (17), and Store Keepers (4). The department will also recruit Drivers (6) to enhance operational efficiency.

Minister Chowdhury emphasized that these decisions reflect the government’s commitment to employment generation and sectoral development. The recruitment process will commence shortly, bringing relief to job aspirants and addressing resource shortages in key areas.
