Real success of a fair lies in strengthening human bond. Bonding between different communities forms through trade, culture and fairs. The state government is working on taking Tripura culture forward through increasing more government facilities in the fairs, enunciated Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Choudhury after inaugurating two-day Sheetal Puja and Baisakhi Fair at Assam Para in Ranirbazar yesterday. Considering the volume of gathering and importance of the fair, it was decided to conduct the fair every year for two days. Apart from that, it has also been included in annual cultural activity of ICA department.

Greeting everyone on Bengali New Years, ICA Minister said, the state government provides financial assistance for many different fairs in the state. The sole aim is to spread brotherhood among people of different communities of the state. Different departments opened their respective exhibition stalls. Other dignitaries present at the event were Chairperson of Ranirbazar Municipal Council Aparna Shukla Das, Vice Chairman Prabir Kumar Das, Chairman of Jirania Nagar Panchayat Ratan Kumar Das, social activist Gouranga Bhowmik, Member of West Tripura District Cultural Advisory Committee Partha Sarathi Saha and SDPO Himadri Prasad Das.
