Tripura TTAADC Village Committee polls recorded 81.29% voter turnout, with 5,40,436 voters casting ballots. The NDA secured 4,320 seats, including 3,428 by Tipra Motha, 859 by BJP and 33 by IPFT, according to State Election Commission figures.
The Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Village Committee elections recorded an overall voter turnout of 81.29 per cent, with 5,40,436 voters exercising their franchise, State Election Commissioner P K Chakravarty said on Tuesday.
The final election figures showed that the NDA constituents — Tipra Motha Party (TMP), BJP and IPFT — together secured 4,320 seats out of 4,594 seats for which results were declared. Tipra Motha won 3,428 seats, the BJP secured 859 seats and the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) won 33 seats.
According to the State Election Commission, 5,33,808 voters cast their ballots at polling stations in the ADC areas, while another 6,628 election-duty voters exercised their franchise, taking the total number of votes polled to 5,40,436. The combined figure resulted in the final turnout of 81.29 per cent.
The counting of votes was completed on Monday across 44 counting locations, with 45 counting halls used for the process, Chakravarty said at a press conference held at the state secretariat. The elections covered 587 Village Committees, comprising 2,634 constituencies and 4,597 seats. However, three seats remained vacant, leaving 4,594 seats with declared results.
The final seat tally placed Tipra Motha Party at the top with 3,428 seats, followed by the BJP with 859 seats. Independent candidates secured 173 seats, while the CPI(M) won 87 seats. The IPFT secured 33 seats and the Congress won 14 seats.
At the Village Committee level, Tipra Motha secured majorities in 457 Village Committees, while the BJP obtained majorities in 94 committees. CPI(M) and IPFT secured majorities in two Village Committees each, while independent candidates emerged with majorities in 31 committees.
The vote-share figures released by the State Election Commission showed that Tipra Motha secured 46.76 per cent of the votes, followed by the BJP with 28 per cent. CPI(M) recorded 12.90 per cent, independent candidates 7.74 per cent, IPFT 2.74 per cent and Congress 1.86 per cent. Together, the three NDA constituents recorded a combined vote share of 77.50 per cent.
The final results also reflected significant voter participation across the tribal council areas. The State Election Commission’s final analysis showed that women participated in larger numbers than men, with 2,70,897 female voters and 2,62,911 male voters casting ballots at polling stations.
The elections were conducted across the TTAADC areas, with the counting process completed at designated centres throughout the state. The final results followed polling, subsequent election-related procedures and the counting process conducted on Monday.
Chakravarty congratulated voters, district election officers, returning officers, sector officers and counting personnel for their role in conducting the election and completing the counting process. He also appreciated the senior police officials and security personnel deployed during the elections.

The State Election Commissioner further thanked media representatives for their cooperation during the polling and counting stages.
State Election Commission Secretary Anurag Sen was also present at the press conference where the final election figures and results were announced.
