Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah today inaugurated a series of transformational initiatives taken in the 100 Days of the Ministry of Cooperation at a national-level conference in New Delhi. During the main session of the conference, Mr Shah launched 100-day initiatives by the Ministry under the theme of Sahkar-se-Samriddhi (सहकार से समृद्धि). He also launched a Margdarshika (मार्गदर्शिका) on the formation and strengthening of two lakh new MPACS, primary dairy and fishery cooperative societies in uncovered villages or Panchayats, and the Standard Operating Procedure on White Revolution 2.0 and cooperation among cooperatives.

The White Revolution 2.0 initiative seeks to empower women, generate employment, and expand cooperative coverage. It is projected that dairy cooperatives will procure one thousand lakh kilograms of milk daily by the end of the fifth year, significantly enhancing the livelihoods of rural producers.

In his address, Mr Shah said that it was a longstanding demand to establish a Ministry of Cooperation, fulfilled by the NDA government. The Minister said, when this Ministry was formed, the aim was to give rebirth to the cooperative sector in all villages and districts. Mr. Shah said, that the government is providing new impetus to the rural economy through cooperatives.

Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Dairying, and Panchayati Raj Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh, Minister of State for Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol, along with other dignitaries, were present on the occasion.
