California/IBNS: American chip maker Nvidia Corporations upcoming artificial intelligence (AI) chips will be delayed by at least three months due to design flaws, The Information reported, citing two people who help produce the chip and its server hardware.

Bloomberg reported, citing its sources, that the AI chips may be delayed by three or more months, and the delay could impact Nvidias customers, which includes global tech giants such as Microsoft Corporation, Google LLC, and Meta Platforms Inc.

California-based multinational tech company Nvidia this week informed Microsoft about a delay affecting the most advanced AI chip models in the Blackwell series, according to reports.

The delay in chip delivery means big shipments arent expected until the first quarter of 2025, reports The Information.

Bloomberg reported that an Nvidia spokesperson denied to comment on the delay, while the firm told The Information that production is on track to ramp later this year.

However, representatives of Microsoft, Google, Amazon Web Services and Meta refused to comment on the matter, while a spokesperson of the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) Limited also did not respond to a request for comment, according to reports.
