In the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup, India defeated Pakistan by 6 runs in a thrilling match at  Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Put in to bat first, India posted a total of 119 runs in 19 overs, after being bowled out by the Pakistani pacers last night. Rishabh Pant, with 42 runs from 31 balls and Axar Patel, with 20 runs from 18 balls helped the Men in Blue to set a decent target on board. For Pakistan, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah claimed three wickets each while Mohammad Amir bagged two wickets .

The Indian bowling unit, led by Jasprit Bumrah valiantly restricted Pakistan to fall just 6 runs short of their target. While chasing a paltry target of 120, Pakistan could score only 113 runs for seven in the stipulated 20 overs. Bumrah scalped three wickets, conceding just 14 runs in his four overs. Hardik Pandya got two wickets, while Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh bagged one wicket each. Bumrah was adjudged the Player of the Match. This is also the lowest target, India successfully defended in T20 internationals.
