At a seminar titled ‘Future is Exciting’ hosted by the Consulate General of India in association with the Services Export Promotion Council Ministry of Commerce, Govt of India, Symbiosis International University Dubai, and Indian Women in Dubai, industry veterans and academicians highlighted the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to create new types of jobs and enhance access to healthcare services.

Mr. Harish Dunakhe, Senior Research Director at IDC, stated, “Artificial Intelligence is going to create new types of jobs. We will have roles in marketing, content creation, and PR.” He further added that management jobs, particularly in healthcare, are going to be elevated. “Access to superior healthcare, which is difficult nowadays in remote parts of the world or even in the UK or the United States, will improve. There is currently a significant waiting period for dentists and specialist doctors, but with telemedicine, doctors in India can see patients globally. This will make healthcare far more personalized.”

Dunakhe emphasized that AI will provide access to more information, allowing people to receive better healthcare. “With proper AI, we will be able to predict, forecast, and prepare for healthcare issues in countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and India. Due to climate change and evolving food preferences, AI will help us anticipate healthcare issues and prepare accordingly.”

Mr. Amit Puri, Group CEO of BnW Group, highlighted the potential of AI in creating new job opportunities beyond traditional fields. “Tomorrow’s jobs will be less mindless, with vast opportunities emerging from research in artificial intelligence. Therefore, we shouldn’t worry as long as individuals are creating value and know what they’re doing. The challenge isn’t the lack of opportunities; it’s excelling in whatever they choose to do.”

The seminar also shed light on Dubai’s position as a land of opportunities, with millions of Indians making it their home since the 1950s and 60s, drawn by the enabling business environment and the visionary rulers’ spirit of accommodation. For Indian students interested in new-age technology, the UAE, particularly Dubai, is emerging as a prime destination. With the government’s focus on fintech, space, blockchain, robotics, AI, and other cutting-edge fields, the UAE has demonstrated its expertise in providing a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship, resulting in the best global businesses focusing their operations in the country.
