India’s cybersecurity industry is making a significant impact at the ongoing Gulf Information Security Expo & Conference (GISEC) 2024 conference in Dubai. The Data Security Council of India (DSCI) has brought together 22 Indian companies to showcase the nation’s growing expertise in this critical field. This participation underscores India’s remarkable progress in cybersecurity, fuelled by a surge in startups supported by both government and industry initiatives. These efforts have resulted in increased international market traction. Consul General of India in Dubai Mr. Satish Kumar Sivan inaugurated the Indian Pavillion at GISEC.Key industry drivers include automation, the convergence of security products, and a rising demand for cloud-delivered security solutions. India’s cybersecurity sector benefits from several factors, including government support for startups, utilisation of remote sales models to expand global reach, and a focus on automation and product integration. Additionally, there is a growing market demand for cloud-based security solutions and comprehensive security platforms.

The DSCI’s presence at GISEC aims to spotlight India’s position as a global cyber security hub. The Indian market contributes significantly, holding 80–85% of the global market share, with the domestic market accounting for 15-20%. Developed nations such as the US and Europe offer lucrative prospects due to their higher adoption rates, awareness levels, and cybersecurity budgets.

Indian cyber security firms target regions prone to cyber attacks, particularly in sectors like banking, manufacturing, energy, travel, and transportation. The industry is experiencing growth in both services and products, with successful deployments showcased at the event. Additionally, the DSCI aims to showcase India’s burgeoning talent pool in the cyber security sector, which plays a crucial role in the industry’s success. 

Artificial intelligence is at the forefront of the 13th edition of GISEC Global, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from today until Thursday. The Gulf Information Security Expo and Conferences (GISEC Global), hosted by the UAE Cyber Security Council and officially supported by the Dubai Electronic Security Centre, Ministry of Interior (UAE), Telecommunications and Digital Regulatory Authority, and Dubai Police, stands as the largest cybersecurity expo and conference, attracting top cyber brands and information security professionals from 127 countries. With over 750 leading cybersecurity companies participating, the event will showcase their latest advancements and innovations harnessing AI and other cutting-edge technologies.
