In a recent development, the Council of Ministers, in a meeting on Friday, announced plans to fill 53 vacant positions within the Health and Finance departments.
Minister for Tourism, Sushanta Chowdhury, revealed during a press conference that in line with the cabinet’s decision, recruitment for 23 positions of senior computer assistant (Gr-C) under the Finance department will be carried out through the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC). Additionally, 10 Lower Division Clerk (LDC) positions under the Finance department will also be filled.
In the health department, the council decided to conduct recruitment for 10 temporary dental technicians and 10 temporary dental hygienists positions, as stated by Minister Chowdhury.
Furthermore, the cabinet approved the distribution of an additional 19,796 smartphones to final-year college students under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Yogajog Yojana, incurring an expenditure of Rs. 9.89 crore. The initiative aims to facilitate digital connectivity for students, with 28,745 smartphones already distributed.
Minister Chowdhury also informed that the state government is obligated to pay Rs. 23,66,23,070 to the Delhi Development Authority for the establishment of another Tripura Bhavan in the national capital. This payment is designated for the acquisition of land.
