In an initiative aimed at fostering national integration and celebrating India’s cultural heritage, Yuva Vikas Kendra, Tripura, a Gandhian Youth Organisation, has announced a week-long Heritage Fest in the capital city. The Convenor of Yuva Vikas Kendra, Debashish Majumder, shared the details during a press meet at the Agartala Press Club.
Scheduled to commence on November 23 and run until November 29 at Swami Vivekananda Ground (Astabal) in Agartala, Heritage Fest 2023 aims to showcase and promote the cultural and traditional heritage of Tripura.
Majumder highlighted the festival’s role in providing a platform for the exchange of traditions and cultures among participants from approximately 25 states across India.
This year’s festival will also witness the participation of youth representatives from neighbouring countries such as Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha is set to inaugurate the festival on November 23, with Minister Tinku Roy, Mayor Dipak Majumder, and other dignitaries gracing the occasion.
The festival grounds will feature numerous stalls offering a diverse range of items, including food, handlooms, handicrafts, and more, enhancing the overall experience for attendees. Heritage Fest 2023 promises to be a vibrant celebration of diversity and cultural exchange.
