55 villages identified to be Adarsha Village

A total of 8,611 traders from rural areas of the state have been brought under the Mukhyamantri Swanirbhar Parivar Yojana (Gramin). All of them are insured free of cost. Special Secretary of Rural Development and Panchayat Department Sandeep R Rathod said recently. In the press conference, the Special Secretary said, a total of 6 lakh families have been provided different types of assistance for livelihood through different departments in the financial year 2020-21 to 2022-23 under Mukhyamantri Swanirbhar Parivar Yojana. Out of which, 28 thousand 384 families were provided different assistance including animals through the Department of Animal Resources Development, 1 lakh 4 thousand 989 families were provided with several assistance including fingerlings through the Department of Fisheries, 3 lakh 74 thousand 404 families were provided with various agricultural related assistance through the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation. 3 lakh 87 thousand 45 families have been provided different materials including tree saplings through the ForestDepartment.

In the press conference, the Special Secretary informed that an initiative has been taken to transform 55 villages of the state into Adarsha villages under the Mukhyamantri Adarsha Gram schemeunder the Panchayat Department. 7 crore 99 lakh rupees have already been spent on this scheme so far. Panchayat Department has taken initiative to construct 44 Panchayat buildings and 2 District Panchayat Resource Centers under RGSA project. He said that different awards have been given by the central government for the success indifferent works of the Panchayat Department in the state. The awards include Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Swashaktikaran Award, Nanaji Deshmukh Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Award, Child Friendly Gram Panchayat Award and Gram Panchayat Development Plan Award. Apart from this, the Panchayat Department has won the Panchayat Award twice in 2018 and 2022.

Highlighting the success of the Rural Development Department in the press conference, the Special Secretary said that since 2018, a total of 5,330 programmes have been implemented through the Rural Development Department. Out of which, 2,468 programmes have been implemented in MGNREGA and 2,862 programmes in other projects. The total expenditure was 670.186 crore rupees. Also, a total of 1,899 programmes are currently being implemented through the Rural Development Department. He said that another 23 R.D sub-division offices have been opened in the state to speed up the work of the Rural Development Department and to supervise it.
