Actor Adil Hussain recently revisited memories oforking on the 2012 spy action thriller Agent Vinod, starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead roles. The actor shared throwback photographs from the film and recalled the experience of shooting the action thriller across several international locations.
Taking to Instagram, Adil Hussain shared photographs from the film and remembered the shooting period, which took place during 2010 and 2011. Alongside the pictures, he wrote, “Remembering the shoot for Agent Vinod in 2010 and 2011. Had such a good time shooting this film across the globe.” He also added hashtags related to cinema, Hindi cinema and Agent Vinod.
The photographs offered a glimpse into Adil Hussain’s appearance in the film and his time working alongside the principal cast. One of the images featured Hussain with Kareena Kapoor in a still from the movie, while another showed him in character as a Colonel.
Released on March 23, 2012, Agent Vinod was written and directed by filmmaker Sriram Raghavan. The film was produced by Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan and followed the titular secret agent as he became involved in an international terrorist conspiracy. Saif played the central character of Agent Vinod, while Kareena Kapoor portrayed Iram Parveen Bilal, an ISI agent who was also known as Dr. Ruby Mendes.
Adil Hussain played the role of a Colonel in the spy thriller. The film also featured Ravi Kishan as Major Rajan Sinha and Gulshan Grover as Tehmur Pasha in cameo appearances. Ram Kapoor, Prem Chopra and Shahbaz Khan were also part of the ensemble cast.
The production of Agent Vinod involved filming in multiple international locations, adding a global scale to the action-oriented storyline. Hussain’s recent social media post reflected positively on that period, with the actor describing the experience as one in which he had a “good time” while shooting around the world.
