The 34th edition of the Tripura Industry and Commerce Fair, which commenced on January 25, has set a new record by recording sales worth Rs 5.14 crore, the highest in its history, according to Binoy Bhushan Das, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of Tripura Industrial Development Corporation (TIDC).

The fair witnessed active participation from 540 stalls, including those from international participants such as Dubai, Afghanistan, Thailand, and Bangladesh, along with representatives from 17 Indian states.

“This year’s sales figure of Rs. 5.14 crore, recorded until Friday, marks a significant increase from previous years, reflecting the fair’s focus on promoting entrepreneurship and providing a platform for business growth,” stated Bhushan Das.

He highlighted the key attractions of this year’s fair, including the Tech Pavilion, aimed at encouraging youth participation in the Information and Technology sector. Additionally, the Policy Pavilion aimed to educate attendees about the developmental schemes and policies of both the Central and State governments.

Bhushan Das emphasized the role of these pavilions in diversifying the fair’s offerings and catering to the interests of various demographics.

As the fair progresses, prizes and certificates will be distributed among participants across different categories on Sunday, further enhancing the engagement and participation of exhibitors and visitors alike.

The success of the 34th Tripura Industry and Commerce Fair underscores its significance as a platform for fostering business opportunities, promoting innovation, and showcasing the region’s economic potential.
