Tripura State Government, in collaboration with the Central Government, has been actively working to create equal opportunities for the youth, aiming to build a stronger and self-reliant state, according to State Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma.

In a recent program organized under the Department of Skill Development, a total of 115 newly trained beneficiaries from various skill development programs, including Sankalp, Samarth, and Jal Jeevan Mission, were awarded certificates. This event also marked the issuance of job offer letters to 15 candidates who had recently completed training under the Samarth Scheme.

The newly certified individuals encompassed a diverse range of skills, including 20 nurse maids, 15 traditional artisans, and 80 general plumbers and assistant electricians. The program celebrated their successful completion of training and their readiness to contribute to the workforce.

Minister Santana Chakma inaugurated the Management Information System (MIS) Portal at Hall No. 4 of AGMC (Agartala Government Medical College) and GBP (Govind Ballabh Pant) Hospital. The newly launched portal, accessible at skillportal.tripura.gov.in, is designed to gather and track all daily activities within the Skill Development Department, streamlining data management and reporting.

Addressing the program, Minister Chakma highlighted the government’s commitment to fostering self-reliance among unemployed youth through skill development initiatives. She noted that many individuals who have undergone training in these programs have successfully integrated into various fields, contributing to their personal growth and the state’s development.

Several distinguished guests were present at the program, including Principal Secretary of the Industry and Commerce Department, Dr. KS Sethi; NSICA Zonal General Manager, Vijay Prakash; AGMC and GBP Hospital MS (Medical Superintendent), Dr. Shankar Chakraborty; Director of the Skill Development Department, Sanjay Chakraborty, among others.
