Deputy Chief Minister also Finance Minister Jishnu Dev Varma said that Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) would form as many as 11000 women SHGs in the current financial year. Apart from that to boost the SHG activities in the state a total of Rs. 270 Cr Bank loan would also be mobilized for the women SHGs promoted by TRLM maintaining the NPA rate below 2 percent.
Besides creation of 11000 women SHGs and 16 CLFs of women SHGs. TRLM for FY 2022-23 focused on Integration with the Pineapple and Jackfruit Mission for women SHGs, Partnership development with different technical support agencies for strategic and implementation support, Creating different marketing platforms for the SHG products and Ensuring loan to women SHGs within 7 days of demand at the rate of 7 % interest.
Dev Varma in a social media post said, the Annual Action Plan of TRLM of the RD Department for 2022-23 has been approved by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India for Tripura.
He said, “TRLM under (RD department)annual plan for 2022-23 FY has been finalized by Ministry of Rural Development for Tripura aiming to form 11000 women SHGs and 16 Cluster Level Federation, to promote 75000 SHG members in livelihood activities and convergence with different departments for capacity building”.
To roll out the plan for Financial Year 2022-23, a four-day workshop has been organized that started on April 6 and will continue till April 9 at Prajna Bhawan in Agartala.
During the workshop, experts from the Ministry of RD, GoI also participated and appreciated the efforts of TRLM and shared their suggestions and feedback for further improvement.
Detailed discussion was held on the achievements of the previous year and also awarded the staff members of TRLM for outstanding performances. In the workshop, block and district-wide strategies were prepared for the implementation of the approved plan of TRLM for the financial year 2022-23.
