In tennis, India’s Yuki Bhambri and his New Zealand partner Michael Venus continued their impressive run at the US Open 2025, advancing to the men’s doubles quarterfinals with a commanding straight-sets victory. The Indo-Kiwi pair defeated the fourth-seeded German duo of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz 6-4, 6-4 in the pre-quarterfinals today.
Earlier, Bhambri and Venus had secured their spot in the round of 16 by beating Colombia’s Gonzalo Escobar and Mexico’s Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela 6-1, 7-5. They will now face the formidable team of Nikola Mektić of Croatia and Rajeev Ram of the United States in the quarterfinals later tonight.
