In a big development for the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Ramayana, Kannada actor Yash is now onboard as a co-producer of the mega film.

Yash, who was earlier speculated to play Ravana in the film, has joined hands with Namit Malhotra to co-produce the epic saga.

The film stars Ranbir as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita and veteran actor Sunny Deol as Hanuman.

While several other casts are yet to be locked, it is certain that Lara Dutta and Sheeba Chaddha will be parts of the film.

The film is expected to release in Diwali 2025.
