In the Women’s Asia Cup Cricket semifinals, defending champions India will take on Bangladesh, while hosts Sri Lanka will face Pakistan tomorrow. Both matches will be played in Dambulla.
Sri Lanka registered a thumping ten-wicket victory over Thailand in their final group fixture in Dambulla yesterday.
Opting to bat first, Thailand scored 93 with the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Lankan openers then achieved the target of 94 runs within 11.3 overs. Chamari Athapaththu with 49 not out and Vishmi Gunaratne’s unbeaten 39 eased their way across the finish.
