The campaigning for the second and final phase of West Bengal Assembly elections came to an end today, with political parties making their final push to reach voters in 142 constituencies across seven districts, going to the polls on 29 of this month.
Prime Minister and Senior BJP leader Narendra Modi addressed a rally at Kankinara in North 24 Parganas, while Senior BJP leader Amit Shah held a roadshow in Chandannagar in the Hooghly district. Other BJP leaders, including Yogi Adityanath and Ashwini Vaishnaw, also took part in rallies and roadshows in different parts of the state.
On the other hand, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee led a roadshow in Kolkata. Party General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee addressed a rally in Arambagh, Hooghly, and later participated in a roadshow in Maheshtala.
