Weak trends are seen in Asian markets on Monday due to prevailing geopolitical tension in the West Asia. Japan’s Nikkei plunged 2.1 per cent, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index declined one per cent and South Korea’s Kospi slipped by 0.8 per cent. Singapore’s Straits Times index fell 0.7 per cent and China’s Shanghai Composite ended half a per cent down.
European markets were trading mixed in intra-day trade. Germany’s DAX fell marginally by 0.1 per cent while London’s FTSE-100 rose 0.4 per cent and France’s CAC-40 was trading flat when reports last came in.
