Wall Street Ends Third Consecutive Session Lower Amid Profit Booking

Wall Street’s major indices closed in negative territory for the third straight session yesterday amid profit booking. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index settled at half a per cent down to close at 22 thousand 385, the S&P 500 lost half a per cent to end at six thousand 605, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped almost 0.4 per cent to end at 45 thousand 947.
 
 
According to the third estimate released by the US Bureau of Economic Analysis, real gross domestic product of US increased at an annual rate of 3.8 per cent in the second quarter of this year. This is half a per cent higher than the second estimate of 3.3 per cent.
