Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended an interfaith prayer meeting this evening at Gandhi Smriti in New Delhi on the 77th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated on this day in 1948 in Birla House (now Gandhi Smriti) in New Delhi.
Earlier, the Prime Minister has paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his Death Anniversary in a social media post, saying that Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals motivate countrymen to build a developed India. The Prime Minister also paid tributes to all those martyred for the nation and recalled their service as well as sacrifices.
