Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar attended the foundation day ceremony of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh on Saturday.
 
Addressing the function, the Vice President said that food security to the coming generations can be ensured as well as the goal of making a developed India by 2047 may be achieved by adopting modern technology in the field of agriculture and by providing support to the farmers.
 
The Vice President said that the role of agriculture students is like that of a soldier in making a developed India by 2047. He said agriculture students should encourage farmers for value addition and better marketing of agricultural products.
   
On this occasion, Vice President Shri Dhankhar also launched three products Sanjeevani Instant, Sanjeevani Madhu Kalk and Sanjeevani Rice Bar made from the new immunobooster and anti-cancer variety of paddy ‘Sanjeevani’ developed by Indira Gandhi Agricultural University.
 
Ceremony was presided over by Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam were also present on this occasion.
