As the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 draw near, the region of Ladakh is witnessing a surge in voter engagement, led by State Icon UT Ladakh, Phunchok Ladakhi.

Combining the serenity of yoga with the thrill of archery, the event aims to educate and inspire citizens to participate actively in the democratic process.

The event, held at the Sacred Sani Lake Zanskar, brought together diverse stakeholders, including local communities, SDM Zanskar, and Nodal Officer SVEEP Kargil, in a display of unity and civic pride. Participants immersed themselves in rejuvenating yoga sessions, guided by renowned instructors and State Icon Phunchok Ladakhi against the breathtaking backdrop of Sacred Sani Lake’s natural beauty.

Complementing the yoga sessions, exhilarating archery exhibition matches showcased the prowess of teams representing SVEEP Team, SDM Team and Election Team. The friendly competition served not only to entertain but also to underscore the importance of voter participation in shaping the region’s future.

This collaborative effort, spearheaded by the Sub Divisional Administration Zanskar in collaboration with the District SVEEP team, underscores Ladakh’s commitment to fostering informed and engaged citizens. By blending traditional practices with innovative engagement strategies, the initiative aims to achieve record voter turnout on Polling Day, scheduled for May 20th.

As the nation gears up for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Ladakh sets a shining example of proactive civic involvement, reaffirming its status as a beacon of democracy.
