In Badminton, India’s mixed doubles pair of Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila progressed to the semifinals of the Vietnam Open with a thrilling win in the Super 100 tournament in Ho Chi Minh City today.
Sixth-seeded Dhruv and Tanisha, came-from-behind, 14-21, 21-10, 21-14 to defeat fellow Indians and top-seeded Sathish Kumar Karunakaran and Aadya Variyath, in the quarterfinals. In the singles, India’s Tharun Mannepalli’s impressive run came to an end as he went down 13-21, 13-21 against Japan’s Shogo Ogawa in the men’s quarterfinals.
