Vice President C P Radhakrishnan congratulated Sharmila Dhankar on winning gold in the Women’s Shot Put F57 event, becoming India’s first-ever Commonwealth Games Gold medallist in Para Athletics. The Vice President also congratulated Sarvesh Anil Kushare on securing silver in Men’s High Jump. He also extended best wishes to Valluri Ajaya Babu on claiming silver in Men’s 79kg weightlifting.
Further, Mr Radhakrishnan congratulated Shilpa K. Shyla on earning bronze in the Women’s Shot Put F57 event at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. Sharing a social media post, the Vice President said that their remarkable achievements have brought immense pride to the nation and will inspire generations of athletes. He wished them all continued success and many more laurels in the years ahead.
