Varanasi: The international cricket stadium in Varanasi, to be built at a cost of Rs 330 crore, will accommodate nearly 30,000 people at a time, the Uttar Pradesh government said in a press statement.

The roof covers will be crescent-shaped, floodlights shaped like a trident, patterns resembling bel leaves, and one of the structures shaped like a damru.
One place of Shiv Shakti is on the moon, while the other one is here in Kashi, the Prime Minister remarked, as he congratulated everyone for this momentous feat.

Situated near the Ring Road in the Rajatalab area, it is likely to be ready by December 2025, the press statement read.
In addition, the PM said that effort is to provide world-level sports facilities to the youth of Kashi. That is why, along with this stadium 400 crore rupees are being spent on Sigra stadium where facilities are being developed for more than 50 sports.
