Jhansi/IBNS: At least 10 children were killed in a massive fire that broke out at a hospital in Uttar Pradeshs Jhansi on Friday evening, media reports said.

Several videos on X showed charred bodies being brought out of the fire incident.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a post on X, said: The death of children in an accident that occurred in the NICU of the medical college located in Jhansi district is extremely sad and heartbreaking.

He said the district administration and concerned officials have been instructed to carry out relief and rescue operations on a war footing.

A stampede-like situation occurred as fire broke out in the childrens ward of the Jhansi Medical College.
