Union Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur today felicitated 24 medalists of the Asian Games from Shooting, Sailing, Tennis and Wushu in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Thakur congratulated the athletes on their outstanding performances at the Asian Games. He also congratulated all the coaches and the support staff.
He said, the medalists brought great pride to the nation and their hard work and efforts have elevated the status of the country as a rising sporting superpower. The Minister added that Khelo India is bringing the desired results as many players coming to the front through the games are getting medals in international sporting events.
