Jitan Ram Manjhi Union Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises praised Tripura’s progress in implementing the PM Vishwakarma Yojana during the inauguration of the first state-level exhibition of the scheme at Rabindra Bhawan in Agartala. The Minister highlighted that the scheme’s primary goal is to create income opportunities for economically disadvantaged groups, helping to drive economic self-sufficiency.
Emphasizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s focus on swarojgar (self-employment) through micro, small, and medium enterprises, Manjhi noted that Tripura stands out among Northeastern states in its implementation of the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. He expressed optimism that this scheme will support the Prime Minister’s vision of an Atmanirbhar (self-reliant) and Viksit Bharat (developed India) through developmental initiatives.
