Union Urban Affairs and Power Minister Manohar Lal Kattar today inaugurated a 24-hour water supply project in Karimnagar in Telangana.
The project is the first such project to supply 24-hour drinking water supply. The pilot project initiated in 5 divisions of Karimnagar, has been taken up for 18 crore rupees. About 6 thousand water connections will provide a 24-hour drinking water supply.
Mr Kattar who reached Karimanagar earlier from Hyderabad has inaugurated a Multipurpose building constructed for 12.35 crore rupees and a sports school complex for 22 crore rupees in the city. Union Minister of State for Home Sanjay Kumar and state ministers were also present.
