Must Read

Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Madurai in Tamil Nadu last night. He will chair a meeting of the Tamil Nadu BJP’s state core committee in Madurai today and will also interact with state, district, and mandal-level office bearers of the party. Mr. Shah will also visit the historic Meenakshi Amman Temple, where he will have darshan.

The visit to the iconic temple is seen as both a spiritual gesture and a symbolic outreach to Tamil cultural sentiments. Mr Shah would address party leaders and office-bearers on election preparedness, and also hold meetings with various stakeholders. BJP state vice president Narayanan Tirupathi said Mr Shah’s visit would be a big morale booster for the party cadres.

Later in the evening, Mr. Shah will proceed to the Velammal Global Hospital Ground in Othakadai to address a major party meeting. The gathering will include state, district, and mandal-level BJP functionaries from across Tamil Nadu. The event is expected to witness the participation of hundreds of cadre members and senior state leadership. The meeting is also expected to outline BJP’s roadmap for the upcoming Assembly elections, focusing on converting recent electoral gains in the Lok Sabha polls into a robust state-level presence. On April 11, 2025, Mr Shah, during his visit to Tamil Nadu, announced the revival of the alliance between the BJP and AIADMK.
