Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today lauded the vital role of women soldiers and pilots in Operation Sindoor. After inaugurating the new block in Badi Kali Ji Temple complex at Chowk in Lucknow, the Minister said that with participation of women in the operation Indian forces were able to destroy nine terror camps in Pakistan.
The Defence Minister highlighted that this year the 26th anniversary of the Kargil War is being celebrated. On this occasion, we should remember all the brave men, including Captain Manoj Pandey, who made the supreme sacrifice for Mother India. He added that the name of the regiment of the Indian Army in which Captain Manoj Pandey served is Gurkha Rifles. He said the slogan of that regiment is Jai Mahakali, Ayo Gurkhali as Mahakali is the inspiration of bravery in the country.
The Union Defence Minister said that we should make collective efforts to make this Mahakali temple here in Lucknow even more grand and divine. He added that the government is continuously working in this direction. Kashi-Vishwanath Corridor, Mahakal Corridor, reconstruction of Somnath Temple, and construction of a grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya are the results of this mission.
