In Under-19 Cricket, India defeated hosts South Africa by 8 wickets through the DLS method in the second Youth ODI of the three-match series at the Willowmoore Park in Benoni. With this win, the Indian team has clinched the series 2-0. India comfortably surpassed the revised target of 174 runs, scoring 176 for two wickets in 23.3 overs.
The match was reduced to 27 overs due to lightning, and the target was revised to 174 runs from 246. Earlier, South Africa were all out for 245 runs in 49.3 overs. The hosts won the toss and elected to bat first. India had defeated South Africa by 25 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method in the opening match of the series on Saturday. The series is being seen as an ideal preparation for both teams ahead of the ICC Under-19 World Cup, scheduled to begin on the 15th of this month.
