A Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Gomati district has been granted Quality Certification under National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS).

Chief Secretary Kumar Alok tweeted the update on Saturday and said Tulamura PHC is the seventh healthcare facility in Tripura to achieve NQAS certification.

“It is a moment of pride for #Tripura that Tulamura PHC has recently been awarded National Level NQAS (#NationalQualityAssuranceStandard) Certification. It is the seventh Health Care Facility of Tripura to get NQAS certification. Kudos to Health Department,” the Chief Secretary tweeted.

According to official sources, the weightage score and overall score of Tulamura PHC stands at 87.28 percent and 89.53 percent respectively.

The PHC is delivering satisfactory service in most of the parameters with the relentless efforts being made by the dedicated staff. The scores were given based on a virtual assessment held on July 26 last.

In a letter addressed to the Principal Secretary (Health), the Mission Director of National Health Mission informed that Tulamura PHC was granted the quality certificate under NQAS for a period of one year.
