Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) will organize a Brazil Cultural Festival at its headquarters- Khumulwng in November next.
According to a press release from TTAADC, Executive Member for Health and Animal Husbandry- Kamal Koloi came up with this announcement during Tripura Tribal Folk Music College’s 12th Foundation Day celebration on Friday.
Koloi said the cultural festival would be held with the objective of exchanging culture.
Recently, a delegation of TTAADC led by Pradyut Kishore Manikya met the envoys of Brazil and Israel and discussed the proposal of cultural exchange.
Koloi also said that a plan was in the pipeline to establish Folk Music Centres in all sub-zonal areas and to form a cultural advisory committee with the eminent cultural personalities.
TTAADC chairman Jagadish Debbarma inaugurated the programme at Nuwai auditorium of Khumulwng in presence of Chief Executive Member (CEM) Purna Chandra Jamatia and other dignitaries.
