New Delhi/IBNS: Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi remained firm on his address to the Lok Sabha, a day after his speech created a furore in the lower house of Parliament.
In response to some parts of the speech being expunged, Gandhi told reporters on Tuesday, Truth can be expunged in Modi-jis world but not in reality.
Whatever I had to say, I have said and that is the truth, he added.

Rahul Gandhis Hindu remark stirs row
Gandhis Hindu remark on Monday led to a ruckus and even invited sharp criticism from Prime Minister Modi, who called his comment a serious matter.
This isnt the first time, Third Time Fail Rahul has attacked the Hindus. But his unbridled hate for Hindus as Leader of Opposition and on the floor of the House is a matter of grave concern

The Congress MP said, Lord Shiva speaks about non-violence but (pointing towards the treasury bench) people who call themselves as Hindus are doing violence, spreading hatred and speaking lies.
In a strong rebuttal, Modi stood up and said, Calling the entire Hindu community violent is very serious.
In a return, Gandhi raised his voice further and said, Narendra Modi is not the entire Hindu society. BJP is not the entire Hindu society. RSS is not the entire Hindu society. This is not BJPs contract.
Gandhi had a heated exchange with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the floor after the former showed Lord Shivas portrait.
After the Congress MP showed the portrait of Lord Shiva, Speaker Om Birla objected to it saying, No picture is allowed to be shown in the House.

When Gandhi displayed the portrait again, Shah stood up and said, All rules of the House are being flouted. Despite being told not to, he keeps showing portraits.
The heated debate in the Lok Sabha has assumed significance as the ruling NDA is facing a competition from the opposition bench comprising INDIA allies after Modis BJP failed to get the majority mark in the parliamentary elections.
While the BJP stopped at 240, it needed the mandatory support of the allies to form the government.
