Two students from Tripura schools shone bright in an Indian Space Research Organisation programme held recently.
The ISRO is organising a special programme for School Children called “Young Scientist Programme”– “Yuva Vigyani Karyakram” , YUVIKA, to impart basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the younger students with a preference to rural areas.
From Tripura, Bhavans Tripura Vidyamandir ’s Students Srija Ganguli, Debasreeta Deb and from KendriyaVidyalaya Rajdeep Paul and Angad Kumar Yadav got chance in YUVIKA – Yuva Vigyani Karyakram (Young Scientist Programme) 2022.
At the end of the programme Srija Ganguli and Debasreeta Deb also got 1st prize in project work and all the students have also been handed over certificates by the chairman of ISRO.
The programme is aimed at creating awareness about the emerging trends in science and technology amongst the youngsters, who are the future building blocks of our nation. ISRO has chalked out this programme to “Catch them young”.The programme is also expected to encourage more students to pursue in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) based research /career.The programme took place
The programme took place at North-East Space Application Centre (NE-SAC), Shillong. At the end of the project, students were taken to visit of Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. Expenditure towards the travel of student, course material, lodging and boarding etc., during the entire course were borne by ISRO.
