Pritam Das, a student of PM-SHRI Arya Colony HS School in Belonia, South Tripura district, had the honor of representing Tripura at ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha,’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular interactive programme.
During the session, the Prime Minister asked Pritam whether he had to pay any money to participate in the event. The student responded confidently, engaging in a meaningful exchange with the Prime Minister.
Pritam was among 36 students selected from across the country for this prestigious opportunity. Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha shared a clip of the interaction on X, praising the young participant.
“In a proud moment, our talented student, Mr. Pritam Das from Belonia, South Tripura, participated in #ParikshaPeCharcha with Hon’ble PM Shri @NarendraModi ji. Grateful to the Hon’ble PM for this opportunity—this will surely inspire many more students from our state,” he wrote.
‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ aims to alleviate exam stress and boost students’ confidence.
“The Prime Minister took a keen interest in Pritam after learning he was from Tripura. He asked about the selection process and whether any payment was required to attend. It was a heartwarming interaction, and we are incredibly proud of him. The key message was about moving forward in life without undue pressure. Should exams define everything? The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of learning beyond books and reassured students that academic scores do not determine one’s entire future. Many who excelled in exams did not necessarily achieve success, while those who navigated life’s challenges effectively have thrived,” said the Chief Minister.
Dr. Saha was accompanied by Special Secretary of the Education Department Raval Hemendra Kumar, Director of Education N. C. Sharma, along with teachers and students from the school.
Notably, this year’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ saw the participation of 36 students from various state and union territory schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools, Eklavya Model Residential Schools, and CBSE-affiliated institutions. Pritam Das was among the distinguished students selected for this unique experience.
